What was the highlight of Ubud Village Hotel

Very enjoyable stay

The staff of this hotel were very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel has a very serene feeling with ponds and nature in the lobby. They offer complimentary yoga and afternoon tea which is a huge plus. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. The biggest plus to this hotel is its location in the middle of Ubud close to shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was at the back of the property so there was no noise. We slept well as the room had good air conditioning. Very enjoyable stay overall, would come back.

The pool in this hotel is small and the lounger chairs are all quite close together. When checking out the staff asked us to complete a review for trip advisor. This was no problem for us to do but the staff watched us as we typed it.

Great Location, Cosy & Spacious Friendly Ambience

I liked the afternoon tea on the rooftop. I loved the extra space in the deluxe room on the balcony. The big bath :) The pools and garden were beautiful.

Being on the 1st floor it was a little dark in the room, but didn’t smell so damp. It was very cosy.

Super comfy. Fantastic stay. Great hospitalities.

Clean, close to centre. Staff very friendly. (Manik and Areef). And suprisingly we got free upgrade to villa located at the rooftop.

We just stay for sleep because we have tight schedule.

The staff and location was excellent and reallly make this hotel a popular choice.

The location of the hotel is excellent and actually on the main road, within walking distance from shops and restaurants. The front office staff were super friendly and very helpful, always with a smile and greeting. It was nice of them to also upgrade us to the next category room.

The rooms are too dark. With limited natural light coming into the room, you need to switch on all the lights even in the day. Although the hotel frontage and swimming pool areas are nice, the corridors and rooms look rundown and need a makeover.

Good hotel with a few hiccups, but great location and would stay again

I would recommend the airport pickup service from the hotel as it's good value for money and beats the taxi queues. It's a long journey due to traffic and the car provided was comfortable and handled all the luggage. The bed was big and very comfortable., as was the room itself (in both rooms I stayed). The shower was hot and powerful with all amenities provided. The location of the hotel is fantastic. You're in the middle of Ubud and so it's very convenient to walk to many places in the area or even a short taxi journey. The monkey forest park is a short walk down the road and worth a visit. Never got to try the pool as were doing many activities in the area. Left for one at 6:00am and the hotel provided a breakfast box for the journey., I just had to ask the night before.

Towels were never changed so had to ask for new towels a couple of times during the stay. Breakfast was a little limited but provided the basics. To be fair, you're in the middle of Ubud so I'd recommend heading out and trying the local cafes/restaurants for breakfast. More choice and it's more fun! I had an issue with the air con in the room where it wasn't blowing out cold air even through it was set to 18c. Told the staff on the morning (6:00am) and when I returned it hadn't been fixed. Short version, after 4 calls and failures which took most of the day I ask to be moved to another room, which to be fair they did. The first room I stayed in was very off as it had an 'outside' seating area but no 'outside'! It was basically a windowless room butted up against a wall. It was very odd. The second room was facing the pool and breakfast area which looked pretty but was quite noisy due to kids playing in the pool and getting woke early due to the noise of breakfast.

Exceptional

Thoroughly enjoyed the upgrade to the junior suite room & afternoon tea served on the roof top were both pleasant surprises. Food in all the restaurants was exceptional. Our interactions with the staff made our stay so memorable.

We couldn't fault the property, everything was excellent.

Was kind enough to give us a free upgrade on our room to a suite. Very large and beautiful room. Hotel location is very good. Overall a good hotel for the price and would recommend it if you are traveling on a budget.

Breakfast was blow par and very limited verity/selection of food and not buffet style. The swimming pool is also very small with limited space around the pool. Hotel rooms was very clean but the rest of the facilities was not that clean/nice and seems in need of some work/maintenance. Also very noisy as the hotel is next to bar that plays live music very loud till after 12PM, both evenings we stayed over.

Beautiful rooftop villa, spacious & clean

Beautiful rooftop villa, so spacious & clean. I would definitely recommend spending the extra on this. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, especially in the front restaurant. Pools were relaxing & location fantastic. Thank you so much.

Breakfast was nice, but menu slightly limited. Bar closes at 10.30pm, a minor point as there are so many others nearby.

Perfect

Such an outstanding location, and so beautiful. I’d recommend upgrading to a villa as the room is ginormous and monkeys come up and visit the garden from around 3pm. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful with arranging transport to our next destination and checking on my friend who was poorly. Really really loved this place.

Lovely hotel but disappointing breakfast .

Lovely hotel . We really appreciated the unexpected uograde to a villa . Room was large and comfortable. Pools were nice . Centrally located.

Breakfast - limited selection and not tasty . Probably the worst breakfast we had on our 2 week trip .

Nice hotel, very centrally located and very friendly staff!

The property is lovely and the bar and restaurant attached have great food and cocktails. The pool in the back is very peaceful. I also had a treatment at their spa, which is on the top floor at the back of the hotel and was just perfect!

On one hand, the location is great as it’s very central. On the other hand, it is very centrally located, so the high street can be quite noisy and gets a lot of traffic. And there are also some passing monkeys from the forest nearby. So it all depends what you’re looking for!

Great location but service could be better.

Aries the guy at the reception was adorable. He made up for the rest. The location of this hotel is great!

It lacked warmth. Too formal. You have to pay extra if you want a cappuccino for beeakfast. Not enough plugs in the rooms, to charge your phone u need to unplug lamps.

I was in a closed up room facing a wall. Not a great experience.

The pool was OK.

Our room balcony was facing a wall just 1 metre away. Not what you expect in Ubud. The hotel could have informed us of this as it was not a cheap hotel.

It is a nice hotel, but the breakfast is not good.

1. Our room is much bigger than our expectations. 2. It's located in the centre of Ubud. 3. Free afternoon tea.

1. Breakfast was a la carte style. It was fine, but not good. We skipped the breakfast, and had brunch at cafes. 2. Towels and bed sheets were not clean. 3. Pool was too small.
